Are ants attracted by pure raw honey? –A question that has been debated recently

Ant will only stay away from original honey only and only if the plant floral source of the honey contains ant REPELLANT . Examples of plant with ant repellant are mint leaf, citrus, eucalyptus, rose leaf and many others.

Hence, it is inevitable that information about the characteristics of a pure raw honey can be such a CONTROVERSIAL subject.

The fact that genuine pure raw honey does not attract ants is solely a misconception because many thought that ants are only attracted to sugar and that is why they are attracted to fake honey that has sugar added to it.

Indeed, Ants feed on almost everything which they find nutritious! Anyone who spends time studying ants will know that ants are attracted to any food in its most natural state.

When a small animal like a lizard or coachroach dies, guess what happens to the body of the lizard, ants will surround it and carry it away.

This natural circumstance would of course have nothing to do with the sweetness of the lizard as a dead lizard will definitely not be sweet nor have sugar added to it.

Surprisingly, ants will also gather around the porridge that is left unattended, that does not have sugar added into it.

With the aforementioned real life examples, it is no doubt that ants should be attracted to raw natural honey not only because it is sweet but also because these little creatures know that it is a great source of food for them.

They can only stay away from the honey only if it contains ant repellant from the mother plant floral source the bees feed on to produce the honey

Generally, the idea of ants being attracted only to sugar is a MYTH.

Ants are attracted to good nutritious food that is as close to nature as possible.
